Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix had an early aptitude to play sports while in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting potential at the time. At her first attempt and placing within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas a contract as a professional athlete. The following year she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007 she defended this title and beat her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently within the top three throughout her competitions in the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
